Grammy award winning Skrillex has signed Hundred Waters to his OWSLA label, and it's certainly a different direction for the label.
A more down-beat, electro-pop vibe than you'd expect, Thistle, their first release is a gorgeous piece of music, reminiscent of Sigur Ros and Björk in places...this is the original version I'm talking of, of course. The EP features remixes by Star Slinger, AraabMuzik, TOKiMONSTA, Lockah and Different Sleep & Troublemaker.
They're all great remixes, with the Star Slinger version probably being the most recognisable OWSLA sound and the most commercial of them all. But for me, it's all about the original and I'm quite liking the TOKiMONSTA mix too, something about the processed drum beats....!

Having just completed the Full Flex Express tour of Canada with Skrillex, Diplo Grimes, and more) the quartet will now embark on an American / Canadian tour supporting Julia Holter, it's one not to miss.
Their self-titled album will be released on OWLA sometime in October, and is set to be a fantastic debut of beautifully crafted, ethereal and intimate songs. Can't wait!
