Bowling For Soup is 18 years old and what better way to commemorate such an achievement than packing up the full-band and heading back to the UK, for what will be their 30th visit.
Having just completed a busy spring of touring the Middle East (entertaining the troops), a widely successful UK acoustic tour, and a tour of the North Eastern United States, BFS are delighted to announce a 15-date blitz of the UK. Support comes in the form of American counterparts The Dollyrots and Patent Pending.
… This is the ‘One Big Happy Tour’.
Already this summer fans have been treated to a brand new song, 'T.G.I.S (Thank God It’s Summer)' which is featured on the Crappy Records, Have A Crappy Summer compilation.
Ahead of the tour, BFS will release a new album on their Brando/Queso Records label, entitled, One Big Happy. The album features BFS, The Dollyrots and Patent Pending. They will all take on a track belonging to each of the other bands as well as adding a brand new song of their own to the mix. The album will be closed with a Jaret Reddick (BFS) and Kelly Ogden (The Dollyrots) duet.
18 years after frontman Jaret Reddick started a humble little rock band in Denton, Texas, there is no sign of BFS letting-up. They remain as busy and creative as ever, with plans for the future, not least a potential live DVD capturing the fun and frolics of their Glasgow acoustic show earlier this year.
Sharp-eyed BFS fans will be quick to notice the lack of a London date on ‘The One Big Happy Tour’ and this grey cloud comes with an enormous silver lining as, BFS are beyond excited to be a part of The Warped Tour’s return to the UK at Alexandra Palace, London, November 10th, 2012. So make a day of it and witness a taste of the legendary tour on home soil.
