A.M. Sniper is known to most as Sniper, the entrepreneur who, along with his family, are responsible for making Aiya Napa one of the party capitals of the world. From hosting parties on the beach to the Island's most exclusive clubs Anthony has had a part in the island’s success. On top of this he's also an artist who has spent the last few years quietly developing his art. As one of the most exciting, emerging artists on the underground scene A.M. SNiPER has fused his unorthodox rap and hiphop beats with a rock guitar to give a unique sound. It follows on from his successful EP 11 – that introduced his musical and lyrical style to a new breed of supporters.
This is a hard hitting, heavyweight track, in describing the background to the track Anthony Melas insists “this was designed to be an anthem – an epic track that every warrior out there could take as his own. I transcend the ages and use the Crusades as inspiration – this is taking you on a journey”.
It’s a year of sporting greatness – the Olympics and Euro 2012 – but forget Lions on Your Shirt – this is about digging deep and Roaring Like a Lion! It’s not about fighting or aggression but about life being a battle and whoever you are you can be King of your own Kingdom. It’s a cool anthem and its edgy sound can be mistaken for a war cry – but for those in the know it’s motivating and an invitation to be part of a rather urban cool pack...
This is a move away from rap - selling the lifestyle of champagne and gloss through an over produced video – it’s a morale boosting mix with an electronic edge, heavy drums, synthesized voice and sirens - a hot, sweaty hard hitting sound.
Mixes come from Paperbwoy and features guest appearances by Lethal B and JME. The Dubstep crews are favouring the Anamate remix and a Dirty South mix from Trackman based in Memphis completes this truly international conglomerate.
