After six months of garnering praise for their second album Freaks Like Us, Straight Lines are saving the best for last – their new single 'Ring The Bells' is released 24th September, and they've announced their first European tour to celebrate.
They are set to play ten dates with ska-punk troupe Sonic Boom Six in Switzerland, Austria, The Netherlands, and Germany. This is in addition to their September headline UK tour which takes in 21 cities around the country. Taking the monolithic choruses that have carried the album Freaks Like Us to bigger audiences and now to Europe, Straight Lines will ensure their biggest tour to date will be wholly memorable.
The dates come in support of Ring the Bells, one of the album's many highlights, and it looks like Straight Lines have no intention of slowing their pace as 2012 comes to a close. The single seethes with the same breathless energy and adrenaline-fuelled fist aloft choruses that drive the entire record. And as good as their recorded output proves to be, it's their live shows that have brought them growing attention from the public and the press alike.
The band has toured with the likes of Funeral for a Friend, The Subways, Kids In Glass Houses, The Get Up Kids and Presidents of the USA. Their first European shows with Sonic Boom Six are listed below.
