Music fans get ready – we’re hotting up for one of the most anticipated nights in the calendar with Lauren Laverne announcing this year’s twelve shortlisted Albums of the Year on Wednesday, 12 September.
This year the Mercury Prize is changing and there are lots of new and exciting ways to get involved and get closer than ever to the action, including the Awards night itself at its new iconic home, the Roundhouse, Camden.
For the first time, the Prize is launching a series of ‘Albums of the Year Live’ gigs giving fans a rare opportunity to see the shortlisted artists playing exclusive one-off gigs at intimate London venues. Tickets to these unique gigs are limited, so we’re introducing a new ballot system to ensure everyone has a fair chance of getting hold of tickets.

Even better, we’ll have tickets to give away on Unwind too so you can double your chance to be there.
And remember, if you miss out on tickets you can catch all the build up and buzz on Channel 4, kicking off with the Launch show on 12 September, featuring live performances and interviews with this year’s artists.
