Violet Bones are a Cambridge 4 piece who are set to unleash their debut album Decline of Vaudeville. A rock n roll band coupled with a fierce DIY ethic and constant touring across the UK, Violet Bones are slowly garnering a name for themselves with their high energy, garage-rock anthems. The album is set for release on the 26th of November through The Animal Farm.
The band is comprised of Rik, Oz ,Stu and Si who wield electric live performances and tight punchy songs as their weapons of choice. The band’s ethic is keep it simple: work it hard — which comes across in their seemingly endless list of tour schedules, having previously performed alongside bands such as New York Dolls, Cage The Elephant, Ash, Tribes and Pulled Apart By Horses.
Violet Bones have spent the last 12 months working on their debut album Decline of Vaudeville; featuring the recently released single 'Chemicals'. Capturing the greased back suave of the 50s and 60s without compromising neither tempo, nor a ‘catchy charm’ the band has worked hard to conquer, Decline of Vaudeville is the garage-rock, sonically-spectacular, takeaway-pizza fuelled album that the world has been waiting for. The band are set to release the follow up single 'Villains' on 29th October 2012.
2012 has seen the band complete two full UK tours and signed a deal with Global/Rough Trade for the European release of their album. They have received great tastemaker reactions from online blogs alike as well as plays on BBC Radio 2, BBC Introducing, Kerrang!, Q and XFM.
Decline of Vaudeville will be released on the 26th of November through The Animal Farm.
