Only two days after his onstage outburst at the iHeartRadio festival, Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong has entered himself into rehab for substance abuse treatment, reports MTV.
At this moment in time, it’s not clear what appearances and tour dates will be scrapped due to the singers entry into rehab, but more details will follow when they are announced.
The Green Day tour was just announced and set to kick off in November to support the release of their new album ˇUno!, which is part of a trilogy of new material.
An official statement was released by a Green Day spokesperson, which appeared on the group’s website:
On Friday, the Billie Joe lost his temper when stage managers told him to wrap up his set, where he ranted and shouted "I'm not f---ing Justin Bieber, you motherf-----s. You've got to be f---ing joking ... I got one minute left." Green Day then smashed up their instruments before leaving the stage.

“Billie Joe is seeking treatment for substance abuse. We would like everyone to know that our set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those we offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas. We regretfully must postpone some of our upcoming promotional appearances.”
