On 2nd April 2011, LCD Soundsystem played its final show at Madison Square Garden. LCD frontman James Murphy had made the conscious decision to disband one of the most celebrated and influential bands of its generation at the peak of its popularity, ensuring that the band would go out on top with the biggest and most ambitious concert of its career. The instantly sold out, near four-hour extravaganza did just that, moving the thousands in attendance to tears of joy and grief, with New York magazine calling the event “a marvel of pure craft” and TIME magazine lamenting “we may never dance again.”

Now on Thursday 4th October - for one night only and for the first time in the world ever - you can see the whole historical concert screened live through the thunderous custom built Martin Audio sound-system and re-live the magic as the band are projected onto a giant screen in Room One at fabric, London. The standup screening will be supported by a DJ set from Jim Stanton (Horsemeat Disco) and will be the perfect way to intimately celebrate the end of one of the greatest bands from this generation, in an environment that’ll provide the same level of audio fidelity as the original performance.

This special event follows the massive acclaim received by Shut Up And Play The Hits, the narrative film documenting this once in a life time performance and an intimate portrait of James Murphy as he navigates the lead-up to the show, the day after, and the personal and professional ramifications of his decision.

Directed by Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern, with additional camerawork from Spike Jonze and Lance Bangs, the spectacular event saw the group supported by post-punk group Liquid Liquid as well as a handful of special guests including The Juan Maclean and members of Arcade Fire.

LCD Soundsystem was one of the most acclaimed music combos of the last 10 years. The band had successfully carved its own analogue rhythmical path against the tide of the modern music industry. They released three celebrated studio albums - 2004's lcd soundsystem, 2006's Sound Of Silver & 2010's This Is Happening, along with remarkable standalone pieces like '45:33' & most recently 'The London Sessions'.

The DVD & Blu-ray of Shut Up And Play The Hits will be released 8 October and features the full concert in addition to the feature film.
