Renowned producer and songwriter Paul Epworth is pleased to announce the launch of new venture Wolf Tone.

The multi Grammy and Ivor Novello award winning producer has produced and co-written some of the most successful and influential records of the last decade by some of the biggest current names in music, including Adele’s ‘21’, Florence And The Machine’s ‘Lungs’ and ‘Ceremonials’, Plan B’s ‘The Defamation Of Strickland Banks’, Foster The People’s ‘Torches’ and Bloc Party’s ‘Silent Alarm’ among others, helping to shape the sound of contemporary British music along the way.

The first three signings to Wolf Tone are Toronto-based hip-hop producer and songwriter Jeremy Rose, aka Zodiac, famed for his production work with The Weeknd among others as well his own solo output, songwriter Dominic Betmead of critically acclaimed production and DJ duo The Nextmen, and Mattie Safer, ex-bassist and songwriter of formative indie-dance band The Rapture.

"I'm extremely flattered and excited that one of the world's top producers wanted to bring me on to this project," says Zodiac. "I hope to learn and expand as a producer as well as fuck with all his cool synthesizers. We're going to make some great music here."

“I'm absolutely delighted to make Jeremy the first signing to Wolf Tone,” says Epworth. “His forward thinking, musical and textured production is quite unlike anything else and made him the perfect candidate to start Wolf Tone's roster.”

Dominic Betmead is one half of versatile dance music duo The Nextmen. Known for their classic mixtapes, artist albums and remixes as well as legendary DJ sets at Glastonbury, the MTV Awards and Cannes Film Festival, they've been part of the UK's club culture for over a decade. As a writer/producer Dom has worked with artists as diverse as Plan B, Ms Dynamite and Corrine Bailey Rae. Now as part of Wolf Tone, he will be working with some of the world’s most exciting established and new talent.

Mattie Safer is the former bassist, songwriter and vocalist for The Rapture, the band that revolutionized the post-punk movement in the noughties with their critically acclaimed albums ‘Echoes’ and ‘Pieces of the People We Love’ (co-produced by Epworth) and 2003 single “House Of Jealous Lovers” on DFA, which jumpstarted both the label and the influential indie dance movement. Safer has since collaborated with award winning producers including Steve Lillywhite, Timbaland, Ewan Pearson and Danger Mouse among others, and joins Wolf Tone in the capacity of both songwriter and solo artist.

Expect some exciting news and announcements from Wolf Tone in the coming months.
