Adam Buxton and Edith Bowman: a new double act to warm up weekend winter mornings on 6 Music

BBC Radio 6 Music is delighted to announce a special seven week treat to warm up Saturday mornings from mid-November as Adam Buxton returns to 6 Music with a brand new broadcasting partner, Edith Bowman.

The all new Adam and Edith Show will start transmission on 17 November from 10.00am–1.00pm until Christmas packed with three hours of music, fun and listener interaction.

Adam Buxton said:
“I've missed being on the radio so I'm delighted 6 Music have let me back into the Big British Castle for a few weeks, albeit without Joe who is busy slaving in a dream factory somewhere. To stop me from shrivelling up with loneliness Edith Bowman is going to join me which I'm very excited about as she's intelligent, professional, Scottish and a woman; qualities I value highly and in which Joe was almost entirely lacking. I just hope she doesn't mind occasional shouting and stupidity.”
Edith Bowman added:
"I'm a big fan of 6Music and what it stands for so I am really excited to be joining the team and to be working with Adam. It's going to be incredible fun although I know I will have my work cut out trying to keep up with Adam's dance moves."
“It's also great to have two radio homes, with Radio 1 where I am continuing my Review Show and now 6."
Head of Programmes for BBC Radio 6 Music, James Stirling, concluded:
“BBC Radio 6 Music is all about sharing great alternative music with our audience. We've one musical foot in the past and one in the future and to do this you need passionate presenters with both a sense of humour and a desire to share record collections. I'm happy to say both Adam and Edith have these attributes in abundance. They will fit brilliantly at the heart of our Saturday schedule.”
