Having announced the release of ‘Blackwind’ for November 5th, Patrick Watson has teamed up with creative group Genero to launch a competition for aspiring film-makers to tie in with the single’s release. Together, they’re offering entrants the chance to make the official video for ‘Blackwind’ along with a prize of Ł2000. The competition deadline is November 12th.
Until the winning video is revealed, you can watch Patrick perform a stunning set on the roof of London’s Village Underground.
This impromptu set was truly mesmerising; the late-Summer sunset and music working together to capture a more romantic side to the City’s modern landscape.

On November 5th, support comes from Montreal’s Half Moon Run, a new favourite of Patrick Watson’s following their performance at SXSW. Since then, they’ve supported Patrick and the band on their North American tour alongside fellow Canadians Metric and Mumford & Sons.
