From the slamming pop of 'Idiot with Man Like Me' to the sublime hip hop of 'Big Trouble In Little China', DJ Yoda’s new double A-side single, sums up the rabid eclecticism of his forthcoming album.
Described by Yoda himself as his first piece of ‘proper’ songwriting, 'Big Trouble In Little China' takes zeitgeist rapper Action Bronson and sultry vocals of Alice Russell, and delivers a transcendent hip-hop gem. At the other end of the spectrum is the dancefloor banger Idiot, featuring scene larrikins Man Like Me, a festival favourite with a video filmed at this year’s Bestival.
Single track listing:
1) Idiot (featuring Man Like Me)
2) Big Trouble In Little China (featuring Action Bronson & Alice Russell)
3) Idiot (Plastician Remix)
4) Idiot (Plastician instrumental mix)
5) Idiot (Blame remix)

DJ Yoda is on the road with a host of Festival dates this summer, and a run of Chop Suey live shows in the Autumn:
CHOP SUEY LIVE DATES:
10 years on from the first installment of his seminal How To Cut & Paste series, DJ Yoda’s Chop Suey is a coming of age album, realising his songwriting and production talent amid a star-studded album of classic hip hop and dance influences.
It may have its genesis in the world of samples and loops but with Chop Suey Yoda has blossomed into an artist of a different calibre. He can tour the globe, from Kenya to Dubai, and his video shows are an unrivalled audio-visual extravaganza but now he’s truly found his feet as a producer too.
Cutting edge mic masters from both sides of the Atlantic (Action Bronson, Sway, Man Like Me, Roots Manuva, Virus Syndicate) classic hip hop faces (Greg Nice, M.O.P.), retro pop stars (Boy George, Kid Creole), poets (Scroobius Pip) and even ‘Police Academy’ voice effects king Michael Winslow. The whole thing is topped off with mischievous surreal humour, following in the tradition of Yoda’s heroes Steinski and Coldcut, rather than modern hip hop’s tendency for po-faced ego and machismo.
** Chop Suey is released November 5th on Get Involved **
