THE LINES new single RIVERS is set for digital release on December 3rd. The track follows the EP NO ILLUSIONS, NO CHEAP TRICKS and shows that the band are not happy to settle for playing it safe.
The last year has been good to the Wolverhampton four-piece; two headline tours, support slots with the likes of The Maccabees and Ian Brown and performances at Brixton Academy and Shepherds Bush Empire. The band have seen a wealth of support from the industry and fans and the announcement of their biggest headline show to date at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall on December 15th will be a promising end to 2012.
RIVERS showcases a different side to THE LINES, proving few wrong and many right that the band can go deeper than just a cleverly written, catchy indie tune. Yes the band do get compared to Kasabian, may get called lads because they’re from the north and many may be tempted to tick the easy ‘generic indie’ box but this track confirms that THE LINES are nothing of the above and much more.
NO ILLUSIONS, NO CHEAP TRICKS, the most recent EP saw some great support from the industry; XFM, Artrocker, Q Radio, AAA Music, NME Radio and more all got on board with supporting the release. The combination of that backing plus a host of live shows saw the band attract a heap of new fans from around the UK, their last London headline show proving that fact.

Future plans for THE LINES are pretty simple, continue to perform live and create music that they love.
