On November 13, Lana Del Rey will release Born To Die -The Paradise Edition (Interscope/Polydor) including the original, multi-platinum album plus eight new tracks. The album's first new single Ride, produced by Rick Rubin and recorded at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, CA, is available now at digital retail.
The 'Ride' video directed by Anthony Mandler has already amassed over six million views. Rolling Stone deemed it "epic" and SPIN hailed its "beautifully shot narrative." View the video here:
The eight new songs on Born To Die -The Paradise Edition will also be available as a stand-alone digital and CD release titled‚ Paradise, on November 13. The complete set will be available in three formats: digital, double disc, and Deluxe Box set, which will include a remix CD, a video DVD, 7" vinyl of Lana’s cover of 'Blue Velvet,' and four art prints.
'Ride' was written by Lana and her 'Video Games' collaborator Justin Parker. A former bordello in the 50's, The Shangri-La studio became home to the likes of Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton, and Martin Scorsese used it as a location for "The Last Waltz."
