Stand Up Against Heart Crime will be releasing the second single ‘Standing Outside’ taken from their much anticipated debut album, due for release late November. Following on from, ‘I Need No Sun,’ ‘Standing Outside’ takes their sound in an exciting new direction. Stepping away from the swooning dream pop of their debut EP of 2010, and unveiling a new sound that is inspired by 80’s hypnotic beats and dance grooves.

The Barcelona 5 piece originally burst into the public domain with twisted synth-pop gem ‘A Hundred Lovers’, a track so cool that it, and front man Josep were snapped up to front Diesel’s 2010 global campaign (http://tinyurl.com/2v5ea2g). Since then the band have supported Crocodiles and Porcelain Raft, played at one of the most important festivals in Spain ‘Sonar’, and are now set to support Sebastian Tellier on the Spanish leg of his tour. Stand Up Against Heart Crime are a band that have built upon their critically acclaimed sound, formed through a shared love of vintage music from the 60´s, as well as a passion for synths and the 80’s vintage sound. ‘Standing Outside’ beautifully captures this synth-heavy pop inspiration. The single has the same hypnotic electronic sound and menacing build that is evident in their debut album, with Josep’s seductive vocals repeating throughout ‘You never listen to me’ in a haunting style.
Before embarking on tour with Sebastian Telllier, they’re hitting the UK at the end of October to further an already flourishing reputation as one of Spain’s hottest musical exports.
