To say that Shane Parsons and Simon Ridley, the two friends who make up Brisbane band DZ Deathrays, have had a full on year would be a vast understatement. This year the duo have travelled the world off the back of their debut LP Bloodstreams, which has been met with overwhelming acclaim by, fans, critics and fellow musicians.
The pair have not only impressed on festivals such as Reading & Leeds (UK), A Perfect Day Festival (ITA), SXSW (USA), Laneway Festival (AUS) and Splendour in the Grass (AUS) but also killed it on more extensive tours of the USA, Canada, UK and Europe as they’ve shared tour vans with acts like Bass Drum of Death, TRUST and Blood Red Shoes.
Shane and Simon are now gearing up for a highly anticipated UK headline tour, followed up European dates with Blood Red Shoes before returning to Australia for the summer and playing Festival of the Sun, Homebake and joining Sleigh Bells for their Big Day Out sideshows.
With the entire above coming up, DZ Deathrays have just premiered their brand new film clip for the band’s next single ‘Cops Capacity’ through VEVO Worldwide and it’s causing quite a stir! Shot in NYC by the UK born Hayes brothers, the film clips acts as a “dogumentary” that follows two corrupt police officers (who are in fact dogs) during a daily shift and outlines the crimes they commit themselves.
