Featuring performances from all of the shortlisted artists, the evening will culminate in the announcement of the overall winner of the 2012 Barclaycard Mercury Prize for Album of the Year.
TV coverage of the event is increasing in 2012, with dedicated programmes airing on Channel 4 and 4Music for the first time, as part of a new three-year deal. Live coverage of the event is being broadcast on the night itself starting at 9.45pm on 4Music, with the overall winner also revealed live on Channel 4 at 10.00pm. The entire Awards Show, including all 12 live performances, will be broadcast in full the following night at 11.35pm on Channel 4. Nick Grimshaw is to present coverage on both channels.
