Nicolas Fromageau (ex-M83) readies 'Dead Film Star' EP for 12/4 release

Team Ghost is a five piece band founded by ex-M83 co-founder Nicolas Fromageau. With songs combining swirling guitars and shoegaze along with notable electronic elements, the result is a mix of various propulsive elements that creates something cinematic at it's core. When Fromageau created Team Ghost in 2009, it was the absorption of the atmospheric synth textures of Tangerine Dream and Brian Eno along with the caustic indie-rock of Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine that began to show face.


Already garnering a large following in France, as well as playing the Pitchfork Paris Festival in 2011, Team Ghost will finally release their debut album Rituals on February 18th, 2013 in North American on new label Wsphere. 'Dead Film Star' is its first single and will be released as an EP on December 4th. The original track can be streamed here, and Rolling Stone recently premiered the stuttering remix from TEPR, who has recently remixed the likes of Calvin Harris, Santigold, Yelle, and others. The 'Dead Film Star' video was shot by Simon Cahn, known for his work with Lady Gaga and Hanni El Khatib, and is likely to delight followers of Dario Argento, or those who have a taste for the macabre. Noisey recently premiered the video worldwide.
