Lake Effect is, Max Rauch and Keith Williams of Montclair, New Jersey. Over the next month they will release a series of tracks for free download. This will eventually culminate in the release of their self-titled debut album as a further free download.

Rauch and Williams formed Lake Effect having previously played together in underground punk bands. Rauch is also an occasional hip hop producer who has been a touring and session musician for years.
The Lake Effect sound merges post-punk-stylings with contemporary electronic elements, resulting in an obscuring sound sonically and lyrically raging between apathy and idealism.
Keep an eye out for ‘Suspicion’, ‘Phases’ and finally the full Lake Effect LP to over the coming weeks; eleven self produced tracks clocking in at just 26 minutes.
