Propaganda are thrilled to confirm that Bastille will be taking to the decks this Wednesday at Propaganda Bristol, providing an opportunity for Dan Smith to show off the eclectic tastes that created such a buzz around the mix tapes released in 2012.

The most exciting prospect in indie for a long time, Bastille, recently entered the UK album chart at number 1 with their debut album, Bad Blood and its triumphantly melancholic anthems, epic sounding instrumentation and lyrics that combine intimate stories and conversation has cast Bastille as leading lights in the current resurgence of guitar music in the UK.

Propaganda Newcastle is set to host a very special, heavy weight, encounter in April as the North East’s leading music lights take to the decks for an exclusive DJ battle. Sunderland’s post-punk heroes, The Futureheads engage in DJ battle with Newcastle’s indie rock legends Maximo Park, both spinning alternative classics and indie floor fillers in what is set to be an epic tussle. This confrontation will see both acts wearing their musical influences on their sleeves as they compete to see who garners the most enthusiastic response from an ‘up for it’, Propaganda crowd. There can only be one victor and this much anticipated event will set pulses racing across the North East.

Barry Fratelli of Glasgow’s indie rock dons The Fratellis takes control for a hometown Propaganda show in Glasgow and a date in Birmingham.

is the club night of choice for artists to showcase their DJ credentials and has hosted recent DJ sets from the likes of Mumford and Sons, The Vaccines, Bloc Party and Bombay Bicycle Club as well as live shows from Ed Sheeran, Rizzle Kicks, Miles Kane and The Enemy.

Propaganda has its most successful year ever in 2012 and now takes place in 21 cities weekly across the UK and Ireland playing to over 25,000 music lovers every week. Propaganda is also a highlight of the summer festival circuit, hosting nights at Reading and Leeds, V Festival and Bestival in 2012 and will be announcing their summer festival plans for 2013 imminently.
