The Twang have unveiled details of their fourth album, entitled N E O N T W A N G, and revealed a video for new single 'Larry Lizard'. The record is the follow-up to 2012's critically-acclaimed 10:20, and sees Jon Simkins début as a full-time member of the band. The title N E O N T W A N G refers to the Birmingham band's previous incarnation, before reverting to the simpler name The Twang. However, it appears to be a further step away from their indie roots, with more melodic and laid-back songwriting. The album features 'The Wobble', which was teased in October last year.

Lead singer Phil Etheridge points to the departure of equipment-stealing drummer Matty Clinton as a turnaround for the band's sound: "Due to certain circumstances, i.e. our drummer being a dirty little fuck, we started writing with processed drums a lot. We had to start writing differently, because the band wasn’t functioning like before. We wanted the new album to be quite sparse and introspective in places. We wanted to change what we’re writing about."

N E O N T W A N G is released March 10 on Jump The Cut Records.

The Twang are also embarking on a UK tour in February to support the new LP:
