AP - In June 24 obituaries of journalist and author Shana Alexander, The Associated Press reported erroneously that she was the first female editor at McCall's magazine. Instead, Alexander was the first woman to hold that position since 1921, McCall's Publishing Company said at the time of her 1969 appointment.
