Yahoo! Music - Velvet Revolver lead guitarist Slash has won Esquire magazine's 2005 Esky Music Award for Best Guitarist, according to Blabbermouth.net. Slash accepted the award with a statement in which he said, "This is my first guitarist award ever. It's very humbling. I'd like to thank my parents, and I'd also like to thank everyone I've ever f--king worked with in the music business from the point I started at up until now -- the bands I've been in, the sessions I've done, and the artists I've worked with.
