[punknews.org] Contests: Rhino 27th Anniversary Contest
 

To celebrate reaching 27 years, long-running label Rhino would like to give you a selection of their notable punk rock releases. The prize will include No Thanks! The 70's Punk Rebellion box set which includes tracks from proto-punks like the New York Dolls and Iggy Pop; key figures like the Ramones, The Buzzcocks, and The Clash; as well as artists like Talking Heads and Blondie. A thoroughly researched 116-page booklet includes liners, rare photos, track-by-track commentary by Trouser Press founders Ira Robbins and Dave Schulps, and personal tributes by Johnny Ramone, David Byrne, Joan Jett, and others.
The box set has one hundred songs in total.



Also included in the prize are classic albums from X, Violent Femmes, Talking Heads, Television and a retrospective from the Ramones. You can check out a special e-card spotlighted the anniversary right here.
