<a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1511627/20051017/something_corporate.jhtml?head lines=true">MTV</a> is reporting that
Andrew McMahon, lead singer of <a href="http://www.somethingcorporate.com/">Something Corporate</a> and <a href="http://www.jacksmannequin.com/">Jackšs Mannequin</a> is now in recovery from <a href="http://cancerweb.ncl.ac.uk/cgi-bin/omd?acute+lymphocytic+leukaemi a">Acute Lymphatic Leukemia</a>. <br/><br/>
McMahon was <a href="article.php?sid=12746">d iagnosed</a> with the illness this past <a href="article.php?sid=12746">J une</a>. He recieved a stem-cell transplant via a bone marrow donation from his sister on August 23rd.
<br/><br/>
According to the story, the recovery process is a long one, and McMahon is still rail-thin, hairless and exhausted saying

I got finished with the transplant and everything was smooth sailing, as has kind of been the staple of both my hospital visits, and then at the end I got really sick again and came home really sick for like a week or so, but recovered, This is definitely a little bit of a slower process than just doing the chemo, because you're essentially adopting a new immune system."

Since then, McMahon has returned to the studio where he recorded his solo album, <i>Everything in Transit</i> under the name Jack's Mannequin to record a new track titled "The Lights and Buzz," which is expected to surface this winter.
