On Friday, November 4th at around 1pm, Japanese band DMBQ was clipped by another car while exiting I-95 near the Delaware Memorial Bridge. The band's van rolled down an embankment into oncoming traffic where it was struck by another car.
DMBQ's drummer, Mana "China" Nishiura, did not survive the accident. The other three members of the band have been hospitalized as well as Michelle Cable from Panache Magazine and booking, who has been managing their tour. While the other members of DMBQ are expected to recover fully and be released from the hospital soon, Michelle Cable is expected to be in the hospital for several weeks. Neither Michelle nor DMBQ have health insurance and need all the help they can get.
