[punknews.org] Abacus signs the Distance
 

<a href="http://www.abacusrecordings.com/">Abacus</a> has signed Connecticut hardcore act <a href="http://www.thedistance.net/">the Distance</a>. The band will enter the studio in January 2006 to record their debut full-length with Shep Goodman (Head Automatica, Bayside). <i>The Rise, the Fall, and Everything in Between</i>, as it is currently titled, is tentatively set for release in late Spring or early Summer next year. It follows up the band's recent rarities compilation, the <a href="http://www.thinkfastrecords.com/">Think Fast!</a>-released <a href="http://www.punknews.org/reviews.php?op=albumreview&id= 4409"><i>If You Lived Here You'd Be Home Already</i></a>.

The band will also head on <a href="http://www.punknews.org/article.php?sid=14006">tour</a> soon with Most Precious Blood, With Honor and Modern Life Is War for three weeks starting at the end of November.
