Nashville Star -- Week 7 (Yahoo! Music)

Yahoo! Music - Hello, and welcome back to week seven of Nashville Star. With only two episodes left in this race, the competition's getting stiffer than Christy McDonald's AquaNet-soaked coiffure--and only adding to this week's drama is the fact that our beloved mistress of ceremonies, LeAnn Rimes, has suffered a ruptured blood vessel in her vocal cords, thus rendering her unable to perform her Nashville Star hostessing duties at this time. We all wish her a full and speedy recovery, of course, but in the meantime, thank heavens for Sara Evans, who's stepping into LeAnn's hard-to-fill boots this week as substitute host. And out Sara comes, bearing an uncanny resemblance to recently ousted contestant Jenny Farrell, in a rhinestone-bedecked catsuit and flowing Breck-girl tresses. In fact, there's no shortage of white-hot womenfolk here tonight, what with judge Anastasia Brown looking mighty fine in a snazzy sequined army jacket (a marked improvement over last week's ill-advised Pocahontas getup) and foxy former finalists Casey Simpson and the aforementioned Jenny Farrell sitting in the front row, rooting on the remaining fab five. Wow, what good sports they are. Lord knows if I were in their shoes, I'd probably be sulking in my bedroom, jabbing stickpins into an Anastasia voodoo doll by now. But then again, as several messageboard posters have pointed out (notably the one named "lindseyparkersucks"--girl, if you're going to go to all that trouble to diss me, at least spell my name right), I'm a bitter old shrew. But I digress. Back on the subject of fine-looking females, musical guest/blonde bombshell Jamie O'Neal is also quite stunning tonight, as she belts out her latest hit, "Trying To Find Atlantis." You know, one might say that trying to find the next Nashville Star is kind of like trying to find Atlantis. One might say that, but I won't. But I will say that with five very worthy contenders vying for the NS prize, choosing the winner is going to be a daunting task indeed.{br}{br}View the Entire Article{br}
