The Dead Pets – 'The Revenge Of The Village Idiots' and 'Too Little Too Late' CDs

Available for the first time in the shops via Ten Past Ten Records

At long last The Dead Pets emerge blinking from the underground, having spent the past few years relentlessly touring the UK and the U.S. Completely self promoted they’re not ready to rest on their laurels just yet! After much hassling they have allowed 10 Past 10 Records to release their two albums for the first time having previously only been available at gigs.

The Dead Pets manage to combine influences from many styles and put them into a mixing pot, which comes out amazingly well. “We’re glad that we seem to have helped bridge the divide between the old punks and the younger punks!’ claim Sweeney. “ You can’t really pigeon-hole The Dead Pets because we’re a Brassy, Northern, Psycho, Punk Rock band, whatever that is, we don’t fit into any other category – it’s The Dead Pets Sound.”

Although The Dead Pets couldn’t be happier with the progress that they have made over the last few years and the fans they have made in the UK, Europe and the US, they’ve set their sites on getting their albums into as many retailers as possible and continuing to travel all over the world. They’ve just started work on a new album to be produced by Joe Gittleman (formally of Mighty Mighty Bosstones) due for release in 2006.

Having recently supported Dropkick Murphy’s, Flogging Molly and The Horrorpops 2006 will see the band visit Japan and the US Warp Tour before deciding which major American punk label will release the new album

To tie in with the long overdue release of these albums the band will be doing a session on the Radio 1 Lock Up show and continue to bring their brilliant live show to a town near you. Come down and see the audience double on each visit.

Currently on tour in the US supporting Flogging Molly, Dead Pets play one of the very final shows at CBGBS on March 27th to be followed by a 7" split single with Snuff out soon. And with various US labels chasing the bands new album such as Epitaph and Side One Dummy, the future is looking very good for the Dead Pets.
