The Doors Celebrate Anniversary
 

Seminal sixties outfit The Doors are to re-master their back catalogue to commemorate their 40th anniversary. One man who will not be around to welcome in the anniversary is late and iconic frontman Jim Morisson.

Drummer John Densmore has teamed up with Rhino records, who will release a 12 disc box set which will feature the band's first six studio albums, all fully re-mastered and complete with bonus tracks, six DVD's featuring remixes of the studio albums and bonus material.

Densmore also stated that there is a possibility that The Doors material could be used commercially for the first time: "There's a possibility if something came along that's very 'green' that agreed with where we're, then maybe" the band would consider commercial usage."
