The first track from the upcoming Vagrant debut from the Lemonheads has been posted online. The band will be releasing the self-titled album - their eighth - on September 26th, 2006. The album was produced by punk rock producer extraordinaire, Bill Stevenson, who also performed on the album along with his Descendents/ALL bandmate Karl Alvarez. In a recent interview, frontman Evan Dando talked a bit about the sound of the album:

Louder, faster, more like Buzzcocks pop-punk-and way less introspective. We’ve got some psyched-out country on there as well. But all of it is squarely in The Lemonheads tradition.

Formed in the 80s, the band released three albums on Taang - home of Poison Idea and Slapshot, before signing to Atlantic and rocketing to mainstream success. You can check out the song here: "No Backbone" (alternate)
