How to Properly Enjoy Snakes On A Plane

How to Properly Enjoy Snakes On A Plane
Here are some tips I found online to help you enjoy your Snakes on a Plane viewing experience.

A handy guide:

1. Find the rowdiest theater in your area. In NYC, I recommend 42nd St., Union Square, or if adventurous: The Magic Johnson Theater in Harlem.

2. See a late night show during their busiest hours. (IE. A 10pm showing on a Friday or Saturday Night is preferable. And you definitely don’t want to see it before 8pm.)

3. Drink a bit of alcohol before arriving and bring as many friends as you can.

3A. Super Geek Points if you bring Snake-inspired food items or rubber snake toys. I quite enjoy Gummi Worms (in my mind though I pretend they are…snakes.)

4. Check your brain at the door of the theater and sneak even more alcohol inside via a backpack or bag. (For you need to be replenished throughout the film.) *

5. Once seated, acknowledge your neighbors. Hell, introduce yourself if the mood strikes you. This movie is all about audience interaction.

6. Test the audience out. In between the previews leading up to the film, have you and your friends make “sss” snake noises. If you hear someone else in the theater answer your “sss”, it’s a good sign.

7. When the film begins, be sure to set the tone and clap and holler as loud as you can. I’ve been to two showings and both times people went apeshit when the words, “SNAKES ON A PLANE” came up on the screen. And even more when “Samuel L Jackson” did.

8. Enjoy the film. Feel free to laugh hard, clap when appropriate, and interact with the crowd and the film.

9. Rinse and Repeat.

* On my second viewing of the film, some friends and me began popping open some beers. And were delighted to hear other people doing the same thing. But, we were all put to shame when we heard a cork pop and turned around to see a group of guys with champagne and glasses.
