Lollapalooza to offer live, lossless digital downloads
 

The organizer's behind this year's Lollapalooza festival have announced plans to offer digital downloads of performances recorded during the event earlier this year.Besides the traditional MP3 format, the organizers have opted to also sell the lossless "FLAC" format which promises full CD quality unlike MP3 which loses some fidelity when being compressed. While the full set of downloads has not been revealed yet, bands performing this year included Sparta, Reverend Horton Heat, Cursive, Subways, Sleater-Kinney, Mates of State and the Hold Steady.
