According to a new Myspace bulletin, Motion City Soundtrack have been working on new songs, and are getting ready to go into the studio. They had this to say:

We've been hard at work writing songs for our next record. We have a bunch of songs we're working on, and we're so stoked to get back into the studio.In other news, remember that Tournado 2006 with MCS, the All-American Rejects, The Format, and Boys Like Girls is right around the corner. We kick off our leg of the tour Thanksgiving weekend (our friends the Starting Line will do the first half of the tour, and we'll be take over for them for the 2nd half). We're looking forward to reuniting with our buddies the Rejects and The Format. It's going to be a killer tour.

Their latest release was 2005's Commit This to Memory which was also reissued earlier this year.
