Sessions from Rise Against with acoustic tracks, Buffalo Springfield, Jawbreaker cove

Rise Against recently visited the AOL studios to record an acoustic session for the organizations "Under Cover" series. The band opened with folk group Buffalo Springfield's track "For What It's Worth," a famous track written by Stephen Stills. It was first released January 1967.Though originally written about escalating conflicts between law enforcement and club goers in West Hollywood in the 1960s, the song eventually took on a larger meaning particularly in the context of the Vietnam War which was raging at the time. Along with the cover, the band turned in acoustic performances of two tracks from The Sufferer & the Witness, including "Ready to Fall" and "Prayer of the Refugee." Frontman Tim McIlrath wrapped up the set with a solo performance of Jawbreaker's "Tour Song" taken from their 1991 album, Bivouac. You can check out the session here.
