A reader pointed out an interesting interview with Brendan Canty of Fugazi and of the recent Burn to Shine DVD series. In the series Brendan and film maker Christoph Green travel to towns and film local acts performing in houses that are scheduled to be demolished or burned. Each disc documents the house, the performance and the demolition. Canty began the series in 2004. The most recent edition of the project was recorded in Portland and Canty enlisted the Shins, the Decemberists, Sleater-Kinney, Mirah, and the Gossip.You can stream or download the interview via The Sound of Young America.
