Akimbo will see their now out of print debut album, Harshing Your Mellow, reissued via their label Alternative Tentacles later this year. The album was originally released in 2002 on Amalagate.
The reissue will feature all original 10 songs as well as a cover of "Vertigo" by Screamers, which was recorded in the same session, with new artwork in a digipak format.
The label cites the album for "fans of 80's style driving punk rock (Black Flag, NoMeansNo, Dead Kennedys)" and notes "this is the modern album that should have been released on Alternative Tentacles back in the early years."
The band's last proper release was 2006's Forging Steel and Laying Stone, which made one 'best of' list on the 'Org.
