Last.fm signs deal with Warner Music Group

 
Warner Music Group has signed a deal with popular social networking music service Last.fm for users to listen to the label's entire catalog online.

Last.fm is a free service that works by linking to a registered user's music player, such as Winamp or iTunes, and then recommends on the user's online account by tracking their music-playing habits and automatically linking them to fans with similar tastes. The site currently boast more than 15 million registered accounts, with major markets in the United States, Britain, Japan, Germany, Poland, Brazil, Turkey and Finland, where 8 percent of Finnish Internet users are Last.fm users.

Warner Music is comprised of a collection of labels including Atlantic, Elektra, Lava, Maverick, Nonesuch, Reprise, Rhino, Sire, Warner Bros. and Word. For a listing of label artists, check out the Warner Music Group Punknews label profile page.
