THE SILENT YEARS ANNOUNCE NEW TOUR DATES, MOVE TO SECOND ROUND IN SPIN MAGAZINE BAND OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS
The Silent Years have announced a new batch of U.S. tour dates to kick off Friday, February 16th in the band’s native Detroit. The tour will stick primarily to the Midwest with select SXSW and east coast dates in between.
The band’s also up for some friendly competition against Make Believe in Spin Magazine’s Artist of the Year Awards. The Silent Years have proceeded to round two after being nominated for the Underground Band of the Year category. Voting for round two of Spin’s Artist of the Year Awards kicked off February 8th and runs through Thursday, February 15th at 12pm EST. Vote here:

The Silent Years released a self-titled collection of lo-fi indie rock October 24th on No Alternative Records. The album features mixing by Mark Saunders, known for his work with The Cure, David Byrne, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and the Sugarcubes. Since its release The Silent Years has scored favorable press from critics at Pitchfork, Los Angeles Times, Amplifier Magazine and more.
