think might be the best track off the album " Smiley Faces" !!!

A video for the track will make it debut soon on TRL 2/6/07

"Smiley Faces" is the 3rd US single from the five-time Grammy-nominated platinum album St. Elsewhere by Gnarls Barkley. "Crazy" director Robert Hale returns to direct this phenomenal video. The "Smiley Faces" video will premiere on MTV's TRL on Tuesday February 6th, check local listings for times.


ALSO, there is a fun new Gnarls contest on their website. A.B. Vidal, the CEO of St. Elsewhere, announced that he is running a Haiku contest on Gnarls Barkley's website. You can find the contest on the home page of www.gnarlsbarkley.com/haiku:

Paraphrasing Wikipedia, 'Haiku' is a mode of Japanese poetry, which consists of a pattern of syllables of approximately 5, 7, 5. A haiku contains a special reference to the natural world. In this case, A.B. Vidal has chosen 'solitude' and 'pineapple'.

In addition to bragging rights, the winners, chosen by Vidal himself, will win 3 different limited edition Gnarls Barkley lithographs ('Crazy' lithograph, 'Smiley Faces' lithograph, and 'Gone Daddy Gone' lithograph) from the Gnarls Barkley vault.

The contest winner(s) will be announced on February 11th, the same day Gnarls will be performing live on the Grammys.


GNARLS BARKLEY TO PERFORM AT 49th ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS


Gnarls Barkley are among the first artists named today to perform at the upcoming 49th Annual Grammy Awards. Known far and wide for their ingenious and surprising live appearances (in costumes ranging from The Wizard of Oz to Star Wars), Gnarls will share the stage with a star-studded line-up slated to include Beyoncé, the Dixie Chicks, and current tour mates the Red Hot Chili Peppers.



Gnarls Barkley - the combination of Grammy-winning artist/producer Danger Mouse and 5-time Grammy nominated superstar vocalist Cee-Lo Green - have been honored with five Grammy Award nominations, including nods in the two top categories: "Record of the Year" (for the history-making hit, "Crazy") and "Album of the Year" (for the now-classic RIAA platinum-certified debut, "ST. ELSEWHERE").



The band picked up nominations for "Best Alternative Music Album" (for "ST. ELSEWHERE") and "Best Urban Alternative Performance" (for "Crazy"). Danger Mouse was named in the prestigious "Producer of the Year" category for the 2nd year in a row.



Last year, Danger Mouse received a Grammy Award for his role as producer of Gorillaz' "DEMON DAYS" album, for which he was also nominated for "Producer of the Year." In 2002, Cee-Lo was nominated for "Best Urban Alternative Performance" for his song "Getting' Grown."



The 49th Annual Grammy Awards will take place live on Sunday, February 11th, at Los Angeles' Staples Center and will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 Surround Sound on the CBS Television Network at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). The ceremonies also will be supported on radio via Westwood One worldwide, and covered online at GRAMMY.yahoo.com. Additional performers, presenters and special segments will be announced soon.
