The Honorary Title Get On the Tour Bus with Butch Walker
THT To Preview New Material from Forthcoming Album, Scream and Light up the Sky, on National Tour Beginning March 22nd
WHO:
Melancholic, Brooklynite folk/pop/punk band, The Honorary Title will be making its major label debut this spring on Warner with Scream and Light Up the Sky. The new release will be their first since the Doghouse Records album Anything but the Truth in 2004. Jarrod Gorbel (vocals/lyrics/guitars) and Aaron Kamstra (bass/instrumentals) started the band as an acoustic two-piece but have since filled out the line-up to a full outfit. The new album, produced mainly by Rob Schnapf (Elliot Smith, Beck) – with Butch Walker also pitching in for a track – reflects their Elvis Costello, Jeff Buckley and Ryan Adams influences while adding modern elements of big instrumentals and poetic, shout-out-loud vocals.
