Buckcherry return to the UK with a new single and tour

Buckcherry return to the UK with a new single and tour
Hard rockers Buckcherry return to the UK for three dates in March in London, Glasgow and Nottingham. At the same time, the band will also be promoting a new single “Next 2 You” released on March 19th taken from their current album “15” which has sold over 800,000 copies in the USA to date.

Buckcherry turned to fans for inspiration for the video for "Next 2 You”. The idea was spawned from a contest where Buckcherry fans submitted their own videos for the single on Youtube.com and MySpace.com. The band then took their cue from one of the user-generated clips and together with director P.R. Brown developed a big-budget version of the concept inspired by their fans Syd and Lexy, whose own "Next 2 You" video has accumulated over 50,000 views to date.

Tickets are on sale now and are all subject to booking fee. Supporting Buckcherry will be The Backyard Babies and Damone.

Buckcherry’s most recent dates in the UK generated rave reviews from the critics:

Classic Rock deemed last September’s show in Nottingham “incendiary” while Kerrang gave the same show 4 K’s.

Following their massive success in the USA in 2006 with both Fifteen and their single “Crazy Bitch” which reached No.3 in the US rock chart, Buckcherry recently received their first Grammy nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance.

Buckcherry lead singer and co-founder Josh Todd reacted to the news of their Grammy nomination & tour, “Who would have thought you could record an album in fifteen days, release it independently, have it go gold and get nominated for a Grammy in less than a year? When we started this project, no one believed in it except our management company and us. It’s exciting and shows that if you’re passionate and work hard anything can happen. The band and I are really excited to be taking our show to our fans in Europe and re-visiting the UK!”

Formed in 1995 in Los Angeles, Buckcherry went the independent route after being orphaned by the demise of DreamWorks, their home for two records, Buckcherry (1999) and Time Bomb (2001). TODD and NELSON reunited to play a benefit for the late drummer Randy Castillo, after which they were recruited by Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum to play in the now infamous GNR project that eventually evolved into Velvet Revolver. “By the end, I was spent dealing with all the egos, I needed some time off,” explains NELSON who received a co-writing credit on Velvet Revolver’s “Dirty Little Thing.”

The duo continued to write songs, explains TODD. “It made us realize how fun it was to be in a band again; we focused on what mattered, the music.” Revitalized and inspired after recruiting D., MURIEL and ASHHURST, the band recorded 15 in 15 days. “BUCKCHERRY is a rock ‘n’ roll band. We wanted to get the vibe back which made us so explosive,” says TODD. “We went into the studio and vowed not come out until we had a successful, ass-kicking, career-defining album.”
