Dustin Kensrue, also of Thrice, has announced plans to donate 5% of his proceeds from his solo album, Please Come Home, to a non-profit organization called To Write Love on Her Arms.. To Write Love on Her Arms is a nonprofit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. To Write Love on Her Arms began in March 2006 as a written story and an attempt to raise money for one girl's treatment. Dustin and his band are no strangers to these types of projects, with their first few albums on Subcity and their ensuing albums on Island, the band has always donated proceeds to various charities. When they made the jump to major label Island Records in 2002, they even negotiated a matching funds plan with the label.
