The White Stripes have announced the completion of their next album, titled Icky Thump. Track recording and mixing processes were recently finished at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, and the record will be released on the band's new label, the Warner Music Group.

A specific release date has not been announced, but the band has stated: "we are doing our best (whatever that is) to release the album as soon as corporately possible."

Icky Thump will be the band's sixth studio recording, following 2005's Get Behind Me Satan.
