Less Avenged Records has announced that they have joined together with Tenfold Records to co-sign its newest band, I Am Not, I Am. “We are really excited to be together with Less Avenged and Tenfold,” said lead singer Troy Cash. “Less Avenged is a great label and we hope that in teaming up with them, that our music will reach a much larger audience.”
From Salisbury, Md., the five-member band began in 2002. Band members Troy Cash, Chris Carter, Jason Jump, Brent Murphy and Drew Conklin comprise I Am Not, I Am. The band, formerly named Letterfive, has a distinctive hardcore sound with a surprisingly mature message for a band with two members still in their teens. “Our music is really different from a lot of bands,” said Cash. “There is a lot more emotion to our music. We aren’t as pre-packaged; we are who we are and that’s the way we sound.”
Teaming up with Tenfold, Less Avenged Records will co-release Dear God we Must Return Fire, a five-song CD on March 20, 2007. The band will start touring for the release March 16. Tour dates are schedule throughout the South and Midwest.
