MOJO magazine, the world’s greatest music monthly, is pleased to announce its presence at this year’s South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. Yes, MOJO will be donning its Stetson, knocking back a medicinal tequila and heading West in the search for the best new (and maybe some carefully aged) musical talent. MOJO will be partnering with our friends BRITISH UNDERGROUND to present the Bootleg BBQ, a lazy afternoon of new music and engaging conversation at The Mean Eyed Cat, 1621 5th Street, Austin on Saturday 17th March (the venue will be familiar to fans of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but don’t worry the BBQ will have vegetarian options).
MOJO is proud to present a plethora of hot British artists - Gruff Rhys, Foals, Blanche, Bat for Lashes, Fionn Regan and The Explorers Club, plus a special one-off appearance by MOJO’s multifarious and omni-talented American cousins the Polyphonic Spree to open the show. All the guests are testament to MOJO’s belief that 2007 is a hugely exciting year for new music, we look forward to greeting you at our Southwestern jamboree!
