While most people in the music industry are busy preparing for cold drinks and hot barbeque at SXSW, we're working on several big things. Here's what's going on:
>From Autumn To Ashes is on the road through the beginning of May on a co-headlining tour with Haste the Day. Their album Holding A Wolf By The Ears hits stores on April 10th, but for an early taste we're releasing a limited edition EP entitled These Speakers Don't Always Tell The Truth. The EP will be available at all Hot Topic stores and contains 2 new songs from Holding A Wolf By The Ears along with an unreleased b-side that won't be on the album! Be sure to pick it up for only $1.99 at all Hot Topic stores TODAY!
The Bled's rerelease of Pass The Flask is in stores on 3/20 and contains 11 rare, hard to find, and unreleased tracks. The band is currently in the studio with Brian McTernan recording their full length follow up to Found In The Flood. Expect to see that in late summer.
Interested in winning some free stuff from eMusic, JBL and Fuse? Boysandgirlsinamerica.com , the community fan site of The Hold Steady is running a contest for fans to submit a homemade music video for any of the songs found on Boys And Girls in America. The band will pick their favorites and winners will receive cash and prizes totalling over $2,000. Head over to ( The Hold Steady - MAKE A MUSIC VIDEO CONTEST - "Boys and Girls in America" IN STORES NOW ) and get creative!
Not to ignore SXSW, if you're one of the lucky ones who's headed down to Austin for the week of music, be sure to check out The Comas. They'll be performing at the Beauty Bar patio on 3/14, Bird's Barbershop on 3/15 and the Jane Magazine part on 3/16. Check ( THE COMAS | SPELLS | 04.17.2007 ) for more information and while you're there look at the amazing e-card for their new album Spells, due out on 4/17.
Speaking of bands on the road, Senses Fail still has over a dozen shows left on this year's Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour. Check out ROCKSTAR™TASTE OF CHAOS 2007 for the dates. Saves the Day starts their co-headlining tour with Say Anything on April 12th. Tickets are going fast, so head to ( http://savestheday.ducatking.com ) to get your tickets before it's too late!
