One of the most powerful, precise and immensely talented bands in chaotic metal, Ion Dissonance have recently finished recording their follow-up to the hugely popular Abacus debut “Solace”. “Solace” established the band a dedicated cult following that are watching the bands every move and have high anticipation for their next release. Rolling Stone Magazine reviewed the album saying, “This Montreal band makes genuinely brutal music- technically accomplished, stylistically varied, and almost completely devoid of anything so mundane as structure or groove. The songs are extended, perpetually shifting experiments in riff- death metal bleakness, grindcore precision, ever-so-brief flashes of free jazz- that suggest Dillinger Escape Plan with an extra bad attitude.”
Ion Dissonance are excited to announce their new album entitled “Minus The Herd” will be available in stores on July 5th, 2007 through Abacus Recordings. The album was recorded with Zeuss and promises to be the group’s most mature and dynamic release to date. Mark your calendars now as this is sure to be one of the best releases of 2007.

Paul Romano (Mastodon, Trivium, Chiodos) will be doing the artwork and full layout for “Minus The Heard”. Paul Romano is an incredible artist and showcases his talent on this release. Attached is the masterpiece of a cover he created for this release.
