Pulling Teeth are a brutal metallic hardcore/punk band from Baltimore, MD.
Featuring former members of Slumlords, The Spark, Desperate Measures, and Never Enough, they play a furious style of metal influenced hardcore. Combining the classic power of Integrity and Poison Idea, with the apocalyptic heaviness of newer bands Cursed, Tragedy, etc.
Pulling Teeth released "Vicious Skin" on Chainsaw Safety/A389 in late 2006. The album was considered the sleeper punk/hardcore album of the year, receiving fantastic reviews from press worldwide:

Trap Them are an absolutely brutal metal/hardcore band formed by Ryan McKenney (ex-Backstabbers Inc.) and Brian Izzi (ex-December Wolves).
In early 2007, Trap Them released two stunning records on Rhode Island's Trash Art! label, both engineered by Kurt Ballou (Converge) at Godcity Studios. First was their crushing "Self Titled" debut 7"EP. Bringing to mind influences Entombed, Nasum, and even Black Flag, the release was a devastating three song wake up call to the aggressive music community.
Just two months later, Trap Them released "Sleepwell Deconstructor", their debut full length on Trash Art!. The album's viciousness is awe inducing, proving that they already deserve to stand among the elite of the extreme metal and hardcore genre. Here's what the critics are saying:

Ambitions "No Limits" 7"EP (Surprise Attack Records)
Ambitions have a welcomed sound of heavy yet melodic hardcore that is often tried but not nearly executed as well as these guys. Featuring 3 core members from the widely known WITH HONOR (Victory Records), the guys are back with a new band and a fresh new sound. After their debut EP "Question" was released in the summer of 2006 on Think Fast Records the band was quickly approached by the esteemed Bridge 9 Records to release their upcoming full length in '07. Ambitions have been working hard to be heard. They've toured up and down the coast as well as dates with Modern Life Is War & Bane. The 4 songs found here on "No Limits" are from their late '05 demo recordings that have been remastered for all to enjoy and see where this band started out. Comparisons have been made to Ignite, H20, late era Bold, Grey Area, Shelter, & Dag Nasty. Company like that isn't too shabby to be in! 500 on Black.
Carrier, The "Self Titled" 7"EP (Words of War Records)
The Carriers debut release brings forth 3 tracks of heavy, emotionally charged, hardcore from one of Bostons most promising bands. With a mix up of melodic breakdowns, carefully thought out vocals and a cacophony of well crafted and catchy riffs: The Carrier rip through the boundaries of a tightly constrained genre to produce something altogether fresh and unique. Although lyrically dark and musically heavy at times there is always a resolution of neatly packed chants for every kid to sing along to. Crowns Of Kings / Price Of Pain "Split" CDEP (Reaper Records)
Reaper Records teams up two of the Northeast's hardest working up-and-coming bands on this eight-song split. Crowns Of Kings come from Connecticut and play a rough style of hardcore akin to bands like Death Before Dishonor and Terror, and even boast ex-members of Terror with Scott Vogel and Nick Jett of Terror both making appearances on their tracks. Price Of Pain hail from Boston and also feature members of Death Threat and crank out tunes not unlike that of Death Threat and Madball.

Tarpit "Vultures" CD (Collapse Records)
Following the success of two vinyl-only EPs, Tarpit debut their first full length, "Vultures." Having in the past been compared to bands such as Crossed Out, Infest and Agnostic Front, "Vultures" continues in this vein but adds a powerful touch of the early '80s HC sound. Without being a "retro '80s band," Tarpit manage to funnel the sounds of that time and create something new, and "Vultures" is the culmination of that energy.

Trap Them are an absolutely brutal metal/hardcore band formed by Ryan McKenney (ex-Backstabbers Inc.) and Brian Izzi (ex-December Wolves).
In early 2007, Trap Them released two stunning records on Rhode Island's Trash Art! label, both engineered by Kurt Ballou (Converge) at Godcity Studios. First was their crushing "Self Titled" debut 7"EP. Bringing to mind influences Entombed, Nasum, and even Black Flag, the release was a devastating three song wake up call to the aggressive music community.
Just two months later, Trap Them released "Sleepwell Deconstructor", their debut full length on Trash Art!. The album's viciousness is awe inducing, proving that they already deserve to stand among the elite of the extreme metal and hardcore genre. Here's what the critics are saying:

Wilkes Barre PA's COLD WORLD garnered world wide praise with their contemporary classic "Iced Grillz" release on Lockin' Out in 2005. COLD WORLD have toured both in the U.S. and Europe, bringing their brand of urban influenced metallic hardcore (think early Life Of Agony and Madball with an early Hip Hop/soul addiction) to everyone within earshot. In the last year, COLD WORLD have evolved and progressed into an unstoppable and unique force, refining their brooding eclectic sound into a new kind of infectious monster.
COLD WORLD will be entering the studio in early 2K7 to record their new full length for Deathwish. Tentatively the band will be entering Underground Sound Studios with Billy and Danny (Biohazard) sometime this Spring/Summer to record the album...

LIFE LONG TRAGEDY are currently finishing up the writing process for the new album, slated to be released on Deathwish later in 2K7.
They will be entering Grizzly Studios this April to begin tracking. More news on this release will be posted soon.
With a live energy and drive that is second to none, LIFE LONG TRAGEDY are one the best CA area hardcore bands out there today. Their approach is both musically melodic and brutal, fusing the heart of their influences (UNBROKEN, MODERN LIFE IS WAR, etc) and the rage of contemporary hardcore (TERROR, INTEGRITY, etc). They are currently in the mixing stages of the recording. We can safely say that this album is going to be heavier than a billion bricks.

Ambitions "No Limits" 7"EP (Surprise Attack Records)
Ambitions have a welcomed sound of heavy yet melodic hardcore that is often tried but not nearly executed as well as these guys. Featuring 3 core members from the widely known WITH HONOR (Victory Records), the guys are back with a new band and a fresh new sound. After their debut EP "Question" was released in the summer of 2006 on Think Fast Records the band was quickly approached by the esteemed Bridge 9 Records to release their upcoming full length in '07. Ambitions have been working hard to be heard. They've toured up and down the coast as well as dates with Modern Life Is War & Bane. The 4 songs found here on "No Limits" are from their late '05 demo recordings that have been remastered for all to enjoy and see where this band started out. Comparisons have been made to Ignite, H20, late era Bold, Grey Area, Shelter, & Dag Nasty. Company like that isn't too shabby to be in! 500 on Black.
Carrier, The "Self Titled" 7"EP (Words of War Records)
The Carriers debut release brings forth 3 tracks of heavy, emotionally charged, hardcore from one of Bostons most promising bands. With a mix up of melodic breakdowns, carefully thought out vocals and a cacophony of well crafted and catchy riffs: The Carrier rip through the boundaries of a tightly constrained genre to produce something altogether fresh and unique. Although lyrically dark and musically heavy at times there is always a resolution of neatly packed chants for every kid to sing along to. From the hugely poetic and heavy riffs of Panic-stricken to the no frills, straight up aggression of Alcatraz, The Carrier show that they are versatile, uncompromising, and relentless in playing hardcore their own way.
Comeback Kid "Broadcasting" CD (Victory Records)
Comeback Kid need no introduction, as they have established themselves as one of the biggest and most important hardcore bands of their time. Through relentless touring and two critically acclaimed albums, the band built themselves from playing basements in their hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba, to spanning the globe alongside bands like Gorilla Biscuits, Rise Against, Madball, Sick of it All, Bane and many more. This third full length continues where "Wake The Dead" left off, with shouting choruses, melodic guitars and punishing breakdowns.
Charge "Who's In Control?!" CDEP (Reaper Records)
Who's In Control is an infusion of New York Hardcore, reggae, hip hop and funk from this Red Band, NJ band. With the addition of Kingshot, formerly of Floorpunch, on drums, Charge continue to expand on their tradition of mixing social reflection and spiritual insights over pulverizing grooves.
Crowns Of Kings / Price Of Pain "Split" CDEP (Reaper Records)
Reaper Records teams up two of the Northeast's hardest working up-and-coming bands on this eight-song split. Crowns Of Kings come from Connecticut and play a rough style of hardcore akin to bands like Death Before Dishonor and Terror, and even boast ex-members of Terror with Scott Vogel and Nick Jett of Terror both making appearances on their tracks. Price Of Pain hail from Boston and also feature members of Death Threat and crank out tunes not unlike that of Death Threat and Madball.
The Geeks "Every Time We Fall" CD (Think Fast! Records)
The Geeks is to Asia what Youth Of Today was to American Hardcore. They built a generation of positive hardcore in their country and traveled the world with their message. "Every Time We Fall" is the band's debut full length on Think Fast! Records. You won't find experimental metal or "moshcore" cheese. You'll find 12 hardcore anthems of positive hardcore done to perfection straight from South Korea.
Have Heart "What Counts" CDEP (Think Fast! Records)
One of the most talked about bands in hardcore today. Since this debut release of these Massachusetts natives, Have Heart have proved to be at the top of their game, going on multiple national tours and creating an atmosphere at their live shows that most bands dream of. On My Side is a young Houston hardcore band that's intention is to bring fast, straightedge hardcore reminiscent of bands like Youth of Today, Desperate Measures, Beyond, and Warzone. Starting in early 2006 they had intentions of playing hardcore the way they felt Texas needed: fast, fun, and straightedge.
Red Handed "Self Titled" 7"EP (Rivalry Records)
Fast, pissed, punk. That pretty much sums up the first release by Rivalry's newest band, Red Handed. Reminiscent of the early 1980s California punk scene mixed with a healthy dose of Poison Idea, this is an unexpected punch in the face.
Sinking Ships "Disconnecting" 12"LP (Revelation Records)
This is the vinyl version of this record...Seattle's Sinking Ships full-length Revelation debut, "Disconnecting," is a look at the trials and tribulations of everyday life. Weaving elements of melody and hard edge riffs, Sinking Ships are creating a sound all their own, somewhere between the familiar echoes of hardcore bands like Bane and In My Eyes, but with their own distinct morose overtones.
Tarpit "Vultures" CD (Collapse Records)
Following the success of two vinyl-only EPs, Tarpit debut their first full length, "Vultures." Having in the past been compared to bands such as Crossed Out, Infest and Agnostic Front, "Vultures" continues in this vein but adds a powerful touch of the early '80s HC sound. Without being a "retro '80s band," Tarpit manage to funnel the sounds of that time and create something new, and "Vultures" is the culmination of that energy.
