A Lesson In Romantics began to take shape early in 2007 as vocalist Derek Sanders, bass/vocals Jeremy Lenzo, guitarist Alex Garcia, guitarist Brook Betts and drummer/vocalist Jake Bundrick began to write tracks while touring nationwide last year and sleeping in parking lots weeks at a time.Once tracks and demos were created producers began to see potential and Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount (Cartel, All Time Low, and Collective Soul) came on board helping to create an amazing full-length debut album.

This new album showcases the bands maturity and growth. The songs are much deeper and more powerful than those on the bands EP Tales Told By Dead Friends which Fearless re-released earlier this year. While the band's sound grows between the EP and full length, Mayday Parade retains that irresistible catchiness that made thousands of people fall in love with the band to begin with. Once the honesty of their lyrics and the power of their music enters your head, not only will it be stuck there for days, but you will find yourself making strides to keep it there intentionally. "We are all really excited about this album and cannot wait to perform our songs live," says Derek.

Mayday Parade will be touring this summer on the Vans Warped Tour, "We're really excited to be getting hot, sweaty and thirsting to death with everyone this summer. We'll be hitting up the Ernie Ball Stages in Texas and the Smartpunk Stages everywhere else and we look forward to meeting with every one of you guys and gals," says Jake Bundrick.
